I love the rich blue sky days in NYC, they remind me of home. I can't wait until the leaves start to turn.

Emotional Expressions

Today we studied about emotional expressions in sociology class. We were studying Darwin and the Emotions and Animals and Man an my professor spoke about Paul Ekman and how he built off Darwin's work by explaining the 43 emotions of the face, he is a photographer too. :) Here is a link to learn more about Ekman and I hope you enjoy the expressions of emotion! Today we talked about how babies don't know how to kiss, we teach them. This just a quick collection from my archive. You can see, my son is so demonstrative, we don't know where he gets it from. :) The variety of emotions that can be seen on a face from sadness to pure delight, is simply amazing. I can see how my photography is going to work really well with my major. :) I love going to school!
